Fan’s Choice

Fan’s Choice was a voting competition for Aurora Design’s fan’s to select the team’s newest bonus download. The poll ran from August 1st to August 14th in 2012 and included some of the most popular animals in multiple taxa. The first week of the voting was for an original list of 75 animals. The top 25 animals were then included in a second poll that lasted for the second week.

Results:

268 people voted in the first poll and, at the end of the week, the following chart shows the results of the animals that were disqualified.

The next chart shows the results of the surviving 25 animals. These results were not given until the end of voting to not affect the final results.

Results:

The second poll had a total of 364 people vote and at the end of the race the winner was the Indian Rhinoceros.

It was a really great race and the leader switched about 10 times. The poll started with Spotted Hyena in the leader, which was then overtaken by Binturong. Binturong was then pushed back by American Alligator, which commanded a strong lead of 100 votes. In the end, the Indian rhino finished with just about 50 votes to win it.
